The 40th World Festival of Underwater Pictures
For 40 years, the World Festival of Underwater Pictures has brought together artistic, photographic and cinematographic productions related to the underwater world.
The theme for this years Festival will be All the treasures of the sea. For four days in November the Festival offers the general public a window on the seas and oceans of the world.
Using the excellent facilities of the Parc Chanot, Marseilles equivalent to ExCel or the NEC, the Festival will benefit from 3000m² of space with with more than 100 exhibitors, almost 1500 photos in competition on display and more than 200 films projected on the big screen, 30 competitions with more than 30,000 euros in prizes.
Marseilles is the 2013 European Capital of Culture. The World Festival of Underwater Pictures is without doubt the major meeting place for all enthusiasts of underwater images and the marine environment.
